Sandra Copeland obtained her BCom degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1987 and went on to obtain her LLB degree from the same University in 1990. In 1992, Sandra completed the Management Advancement Programme through the Wits Business School.
Following completion of her studies, Sandra embarked on a business career, primarily in the medical devices and pharmaceutical industries.
Utilizing her legal training, Sandra successfully took executive and operational control of wide ranging regulatory and legal issues, corporate governance, infrastructure planning and development, management information systems, quality management systems, technology, human resources and logistics.
The companies with which Sandra was involved, both as a shareholder and director, ranged from an entrepreneurial startup organization to multinational global corporations and she was actively involved in various mergers and acquisitions, as well as private equity funding opportunities.
Sandra joined D’Amico Inc in 2011, a firm of attorneys renowned for their expertise in commercial and franchising law, as a practicing attorney, and in January 2023, Sandra established Copeland Attorneys Inc, and continues to apply her years of experience, expertise and knowledge to meeting the needs of her Clients across the spectrum of Commercial, Corporate and Company Law, Franchising and Consumer Protection Law, Regulatory Compliance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Intellectual Property Law, Trusts and Wills, Privacy Law and Civil Litigation.
In addition, Sandra continues to lend her expertise and knowledge to variety of sports federations, including the South African Equestrian Federation, for which she currently holds the Vice President portfolio, in a voluntary capacity, and previously to other organisations within the equestrian community, such as the South African National Equestrian Schools Association, guiding and advising in respect of matters relating to, inter alia, their constitutions, corporate governance and dispute resolution procedures.
